With approximately 450 members, the Danish Art Historians Association comprises individuals with a strong educational and professional background in art history and the study of visual and aesthetic expressions. Our members work in diverse settings, including museums, cultural institutions, universities, educational establishments, galleries, and more.

To become a member of our esteemed association, applicants are required to hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in art history from a recognized university. However, we also welcome individuals without the formal educational background who are actively involved in critical studies of visual arts and art theory, subject to the board’s discretion.
